Mother’s Day GIVEAWAY

As promised I am giving you the chance to win this scarf, handwoven by me, in time for Mother’s day on April 3rd.

This scarf is made from a mix a cotton and shiny tencel giving it an incredibly soft feel. The scarf was designed with dark pinks on one side and greys on the other in order for them to overlap when worn. A perfect Mother’s day gift (or a cheeky gift for yourself!)

To enter you must:

That’s it. ‘Like’ the page, tag a photo. Got it?

The closing date is 30th March when the winner will be picked at random using the good old fashioned names in a hat method and announced by my Facebook page. The competition is open worldwide.

My Facebook page is here in case you missed all the other links to it. If you already ‘like’ my page, jump directly to the album here and get tagging. If you don’t use Facebook… where have you been?

See here for T&Cs and more details.

Good luck!

p.s. I am also taking regular Mother’s Day orders, so please order now to avoid disappointment. Contact me here!

Colours Galore

I decided to make a simple striped scarf to try out colour blends. Each stripe has three colours and will be a great reference for future colour experiments.

I’ve finally had the time to get back to my wonderful Schacht Baby Wolf – happy happy happy.

Using up scraps

I like to use up every bit of weaving I do, even small samples. Here’s some photos of a ipod cover I made to match my pink headphones. I am thinking I might start making cards, perhaps for Christmas with the smaller scraps I’ve got.

New Yarn

Shielagh Tacey Hand Weaving

I decided to make a scarf for myself in ‘Shielagh colours’ using the new yarn I got in America. I’m also making the blocks more like squares rather than rectangles.

I have also started designing my next scarf, using the same structure but adjusting the column widths. I am going to need to make some samples experimenting with the variations I can create. Lots to do!
