April Showers

These spring scarves are the perfect spring accessory – warm enough to keep out the breeze and showers but also lovely and light. They are great if like me you’re not sure how to dress at the moment due to the unpredictable weather, sunny one minute then hail stones the next.

I’ve just added two new scarves to my shop and I have also dropped off three scarves to The Shop of Interest. Please take a look!

The scarf in the top image is made using a colour and weave technique. It uses a thick and a thin thread in the weft to create the colour contrasts. The scarf at the bottom is following a traditional Gothic Cross pattern and uses pink/cream for the warp and black for the weft.

Snow Drops

I spotted my first snow drops of the year yesterday, in the middle of Glasgow city centre too! Snow drops are a favourite flower of mine because they are one of the first signs of Spring. Here’s a hoping!

With Spring approaching I am currently working on a new selection of spring inspired scarves suitable for warmer weather, I really am feeling optimistic! Also I am designing a selection of items in time for Mothering Sunday.  I will be doing a GIVEAWAY just in time to give your Mum the perfect gift (or grab yourself a cheeky treat) so do keep an eye out here.

As I’m on a flower and Mum theme here’s a photo of an Amaryllis I grew from a bulb my Mum gave me for Christmas:
